Efficiency across 25,000 square meters: A look behind the scenes
Five million items are handled for our customer every year in a warehouse covering around 25,000 m², spread across three units. The heart of the logistics location is the automated AutoStore system. The facility is supplemented by an 11-kilometer overhead conveyor system for handling hanging goods and 5,000 pallet spaces.
Automation and sustainability: Modern logistics
The combination of AutoStore, conveyor technology, geodata acquisition, and IT systems ensures a high degree of automation along the entire logistics chain. The AutoStore system in particular stands for performance, flexibility, and sustainability. 95,600 containers on 16 levels, 42 robots, two storage ports, and seven picking stations enable highly efficient use of space. The subsequent conveyor technology connects the picking stations with twelve packing stations and ensures smooth workflows. This makes processes faster and more resource-efficient.

Whether fashion, technology, or industrial supplies, the Ochtrup location is much more than a classic fashion hub. It can be flexibly adapted and converted for other industries. Thanks to adaptable warehouse technology, scalable IT interfaces, and comprehensive industry expertise, processes can be individually tailored to the requirements of a wide variety of customers. For example, the AutoStore system can be flexibly configured for a broad range of goods and is suitable for a diverse product assortment—from fashion items to the smallest screw. A well-coordinated team of experienced logistics and textile specialists ensures that even demanding tasks such as textile processing and repair are carried out professionally.
Versatile sales channels and efficient returns management
B2B, B2C, or D2C—all sales channels are supported in Ochtrup. Serving different requirements simultaneously creates clear added value. Centralizing all sales channels at one location reduces complexity, speeds up processes, and delivers tangible benefits for our customer. Shipments are handled via the DHL logistics hub as well as express and same-day delivery services to ensure maximum speed and reliability. Returns management covers both B2B and B2C channels. Currently, around 600,000 returns are processed, inspected, and refunded as quickly as possible each year. Every return undergoes a quality control process; items are reconditioned, restocked, or professionally disposed of depending on their condition. This approach combines speed, transparency, and quality—from the first package to the final credit note.
