Logistics services in Poland
With one inland and one seaport terminal, BLG LOGISTICS operates a total of two locations in Poland. Around 100 employees take care of all activities related to finished vehicles as well as the handling of high & heavy goods.
Dabrowa Gornicza is operated together with the Polish logistics service provider STS Logistic. On an area of 115,000 square meters, the terminal boasts a capacity for 4,000 vehicles. Around 40 employees look after the handling, storage and technical processing of vehicles. The vehicles arrive, mostly by train or truck, from the Czech Republic, Germany or from Turkey via the port of Koper.
The vehicles are stored temporarily at the terminal and then delivered to the dealers. Some vehicles are also sent to the Ukraine or Belarus. The company can additionally provide technical processing of the vehicles in its own on-site workshop (Automobile Technical Center).
The terminal is equipped with three railtracks and three head ramps as well as a PDI center. The service portfolio additionally includes freight forwarding services.
The Gdansk site, with an area of 78,000 square meters, offers space for 3,000 vehicles. Around 60 employees look after handling, storage and customs clearance. The vehicles mostly come from England via short-sea feeder ships and are delivered by our own truck fleet (30 trucks) to the Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia or Poland.
The terminal is equipped with two railtracks, two head ramps and one berth. The service portfolio additionally includes collection by the lessee and freight forwarding services.
In Gdansk, BLG LOGISTICS also operates an Automobile Technical Center right next to the storage space in the port. Here, the team expertly processes vehicles from the manufacturers.
