Frank Dreeke inducted into the Logistics Hall of Fame

BREMEN. Loud cheers and thunderous applause at the Bertelsmann representative office, Unter den Linden 1 in Berlin: Former BLG LOGISTICS CEO Frank Dreeke (66) was officially inducted into the Logistics Hall of Fame last Thursday.

Around 180 international guests from the worlds of business, science, non-governmental organisations and politics paid tribute to the former CEO of BLG LOGISTICS for his services to modern seaport logistics. In his laudatory speech, Christian Hirte, Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Transport, emphasised: ‘With strategic vision and a clear focus on efficiency and sustainability, Frank Dreeke has initiated decisive changes in seaport logistics. He has facilitated cooperation and created structures that are still effective today. This has made him an architect of modern seaport logistics – an achievement that also impressed the international jury.’

Frank Dreeke was at the helm of BLG for twelve years. At the turn of the year 2024/2025, he handed over the baton to his successor Matthias Magnor. ‘Frank Dreeke's induction into the Logistics Hall of Fame is an honour that does justice to his work,’ emphasises Matthias Magnor, CEO and Chairman of the Board of BLG LOGISTICS. ‘In just under twelve years, Frank Dreeke has had a decisive influence on BLG and the industry through his work in numerous associations and organisations, including the BVL, the ZDS and the German Transport Forum. He has always been a man of clear words who has expressed his opinions
