In the west of Berlin, BLG LOGISTICS has leased a logistics hall of almost 9,000 square meters from Mileway. Logivest GmbH, which specializes in logistics real estate, acted as an advisor during the brokerage process. In the future, logistics for various international suppliers of a large motorcycle manufacturer in Berlin-Spandau as well as several industrial companies will be handled from Berlin. With the new space, BLG is expanding its expertise in the field of logistics and customs clearance for overseas suppliers, thus strengthening its position in contract logistics.

"Proximity to the current location in Falkensee was a key factor in our search for the right property," says Michael John, Regional Manager East in BLG's CONTRACT business unit. In Falkensee, BLG LOGISTICS has been operating a supplier logistics center (LZZ) since 2014 and bundles the majority of external warehouse processes for a well-known electrical and energy technology manufacturer. The seaport and logistics service provider headquartered in Bremen now operates a total of eight locations in the eastern region. These range from Brandenburg an der Havel to Meerane and serve customers from the Mobility and Industrial and Energy sectors.

The move into the new logistics hall is planned for this quarter. The property at Am Zeppelinpark 12-43 comprises around 8,000 square meters of logistics space and around 600 square meters of office space. Access, loading and unloading can take place on both sides via 19 gates and six dock levellers.
